I’m very tempted to say yes. Tempted because the price Tag is $100. But before you judge on the price, take a look at what this offers. IGN.com reports in a conference call earlier this week, Paul “HHH” Levesque announce the special edition will be available alongside the standard edition this October.
The NXT Edition will be Exclusive to both PS4 and Xbox one (sorry last gen gamers, you can’t hold out forever). The Special edition will include a signed lithograph of the “King of Strong Syle” Shinsuke Nakamura, an 8″ Collectible figure of Finn Bálor, and NXT TakeOver: London collectible cards that include an actual piece of the ring canvas from the event.
If you were planning on preordering the standard version to get Goldberg, the version also includes the Goldberg pack, featuring both WCW and WWE versions of Goldberg plus playable WCW Monday Nitro and Halloween Havoc Arenas. On top of all of this, Fans will also get 50% more points at NXT in the MyCareer mode (which will come in handy while training at the performance center in the game). Players will be able to take on the roles of NXT stars like Shinsuke Nakamura, Apollo Crews, and Nia Jacks. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can access these characters by purchasing them as downloadable content on launch day, but Xbox One and PS4 owners who buy the standard edition will have to wait until the release of the NXT Enhancement Pack later this year.
Only 50,000 copies of the NXT edition will be available worldwide, so WWE fans will have to act fast. Pre-ordering starts today. WWE 2K17 is developed by Yuke’s Media Creations and published by 2K Games. The game will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 11th, 2016.
