Five Nights At Freddy’s creator Scott Kaufman posted on Steam yesterday that he was working on a new game.  What is that new game (well you know if you read the title)?  Is it Five Nights at Freddy’s 5?  No, again, read the title, it’s Five Nights at Freddy’s World.

What is Five Nights at Freddy’s World if it isn’t Five Nights at Freddy’s 5?  Well according to series creator Scott Kaufman it is going to be an RPG with all the characters we’ve come to know and fear.  In classic RPG game play you’ll create a party but you’ll be using all the different versions of the animatronics from the series.

Kaufman said he’s working on enemy models right now, so the enemies from the original games are now the heroes, I guess, so it will be interesting to see the story and how it unfolds in Kaufman’s new game.

The Five Nights games are highly successful games and I’m sure many people are doubting whether Kaufman can catch lightning in a bottle twice by switching genres to an RPG.   However, I remember in the 90’s a highly successful franchise did the same thing and had a ton of doubters, I am of course talking about Mario RPG (didn’t think I could fit the Mario Celebration in this article, did you?).  There were a lot of doubters for that game and it went on to be a massive success, spawning the Paper Mario series.  So if Kaufman does it right then he could have another success on his hands.

So what do you think? Are you excited for the new Five Nights game?  Do you just want this series to die?  Have you pre-ordered your tickets to the movie yet?  Let us know in the comments below.
