YouTube to Kill Twitch?

YouTube is taking another crack at live-streaming for gaming with YouTube Gaming.  There have been many companies who have tried to knock Twitch off the top of the mountain but it appears YouTube has gotten their shit together on the live-streaming market.

Instead of going completely original YouTube is taking a page out of Twitch’s format.  Also what YouTube has done is they’ve launched an app along with their new gaming channel, which early reviews have been very favorable.

A couple of advantages YouTube has over Twitch is that YouTube Gaming has ten times the daily viewership than Twitch and YouTube Gaming has a DVR feature so you can record and playback on a whim.

We’ll have to see how this all shakes out, my prediction is Twitch will take a bit of a hit from YouTube Gaming but Twitch isn’t going anywhere too many people view and stream from there I doubt enough will jump ship to YouTube to actually kill the service but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
