Here at the Clash we don’t delve into politics, don’t worry we’re highly educated on them, we just avoid them because we’re far more interested in debating what’s better Star War or Star Trek; or the MCU or DCEU, that’s more fun and well that’s the real debate anyways, not Democrat vs Republican.
With that said, Linda McMahon’s nomination for Secretary of Small Business Administration does, in a sense, fall into our wheel house since we cover pro wrestling and she just happens to be the former CEO of the WWE and her husband Vince (along with her daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Paul Leveque) still run the company. Also, I’ve always had the utmost respect for Linda as a person and a businesswoman, and I’m not the only one.
Vince has many enemies and people who hate him, you don’t make it to the top of your industry without pissing off a few people, but these same people who despise Vince have nothing but glowing things to say about Linda. In fact Jim Corrnett who is not shy about his disdain for Vince McMahon and Donald Trump when asked about Linda’s nomination had nothing but nice things to say about her and said she’s the only nomination of Trump’s he liked. Not to mention rival senators, Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, from her home state of Connecticut were pleased with her nomination and again,
“We’ve known our share of differences, but I’ve never questioned her unwavering drive and focus,” said Blumenthal.
Murphy said of McMahon that she is very qualified to head the SBA and believes she will give “good, sound counsel” to Trump.
So congratulations of Mrs. McMahon on her nomination and I can’t wait to see what she does for Small Business owners out there. Also check out the video below of her confirmation as she introduces her daughter and son-in-law Triple H, which I think was a beautiful tactic by her because these hearings can get testy and lippy, but how is going to be a dick to Linda when her 6’4 265lb son-in-law is sitting right by her. Pedigrees for everyone!
