Did you preorder the latest Hitman game from SquareEnix on the PlayStation Network? Well if you’re one of the five people who still play the Hitman series then your preorder has been canceled.
The cancellation came from SquareEnix and not Sony. Their reason for the cancellation is due to them needing more time to work on the game to get it ready for release. Once the game is further along and closer to release then SquareEnix will began taking preorders again.
Me, personally, I think this is a good practice by SquareEnix, sure it sucks when a game you’re awaiting gets pushed back (though I don’t recall them cancelling preorders when that happens) but I’d much rather wait on a game a little longer and know it works, then buying a broken game and having to wait for a patch.
What say you dear reader? Is this a good idea by SquareEnix, or are you fine with patches? Let us know in the comments below.
Great idea and if it required some kind of payment for the preorder (I do not know, XBox guy myself) then returning the money is a very, very awesome move. Economically, companies like to hang onto cash even if it is to leave it in a bank to collect interest. So if they did refund money, Huge Kudos to them! If not, well then, just minor kudos for doing the right thing.
Actually, after more thought unless they are returning money this just makes it easier for them to deal not have to deal with the pre orders. So, again, Major Kudos if they are refunding money. Otherwise, bah humbug!
P.S. Josh, anyway to edit or correct a post after submitting?
