We’re just a month of way from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Activision has dropped a bit of a bombshell on Xbox 360 and PS3 owners; you’re not getting the campaign mode.
Activision has stated that because the new campaign in Black Ops 3 was so massive it couldn’t run on last Gen hardware and therefore last Gen consoles are only getting Multiplayer and Zombies, and are only getting a $10 price break, so instead of $59.99 they’ll be paying $49.99.
Granted, I don’t know of too many people who still play the story mode in Call of Duty games (or most FPS’s anymore), most people hop right into multiplayer or zombies so honestly I don’t think last gen players will be missing much.
However, I do have a problem with the price. If the single player campaign is so massive it can’t be ported to last gen hardware then I’d say that is more than $10 worth of game being left out, and the fact that most games released on last gen consoles with a current gen release usually go for $49.99, you’re not really getting a discount here.
So what say you CoD fans still playing on the 360 or PS3, does this anger you, or make you want to go out and get a One or PS4? Let us know in the comments below.
