So this past weekend I made the switch from Android (Samsung Galaxy S4) to the new iPhone 6s and my initial verdict is… meh. I’m not really noticing that much of a difference between Android and iOS. There are a few differences between the two and they’re both very minor, at least in my opinion.
Maybe it’s because I have had an iPad for about a year the transition from Android to iOS wasn’t that big of a deal. In the long run though my opinion is that they’re both operating systems that some people have a preference of one over another. I honestly can’t say which one is better than the other because I’m comfortable with using both.
A few pros for the iPhone is that it seems to have better reception in my house than my Galaxy S4 (but this could be because my iPhone 6s is a newer phone), and I like the senselessness with my iTunes account. I have access to all my iTunes movies that I had with digital codes from all my blurays, music was never a problem since I bought my digital music through Amazon so I always had access to those.
In the end, the iPhone 6s is just a phone, the Samsung Galaxy is just a phone, in the end it all comes down to which operating system you prefer. For me I can go either way. As of right now I’m not really partial to either OS, but I will say that the iPhone is pretty cool and the 6s Live Pictures are nifty and I’ve been playing with that a lot.
My overall impression of the iPhone 6s is that it’s a very sleek phone and very good looking. This and the Galaxy 6 Edge are probably the two best looking phones on the market. It’s easy to use and and has a very fast processor so pages and apps come up quickly. The finger print lock is a great feature and makes turning your phone on so simple and secure.
Like I said the live pictures are a great new feature and brings your pictures to live not with just motion but with sound as well.
So in the end which would I recommend, iOS or Android? Honestly I say try them both out and see which speaks to you. I like them both and when I’m in the market for a new phone it will probably come down to features of the phone and not the OS.
