Game of Thrones Season 7 Delayed?

Good things come to those who wait, or so we’re told, anyways, for those of us who love Game of Thrones the show runners dropped a pretty big Wildfire bomb on us this week.

wild fire

From the show runners themselves, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, they told the UFC Unfiltered podcast that we might have to wait for the next season.  Here’s what Weiss had to say:

“We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later.  We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘winter is here,’ and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

So dear reader, what do you think about this later shoot date?  Hopefully they can wrap fairly quickly so we don’t have to wait too long, but as long as season 7 is as epic as 6 I’ll be fine with waiting.

Also, on July 23rd check out at Gex-Con, the East Coast’s premier Gaming Convention.  We’ll be hosting a panel that evening (details to follow soon) on starting your own YouTube channel as well as recording a podcast live.
