Holy price point Batman! Prism Gaming UK’s Twitter account has posted what looks to be a leaked advertisement for the upcoming Activision Call of Duty Infinite which shows the price point of the Standard Edition as well as the Legacy Edition that includes the remastered Modern Warfare.
The price of the Standard Edition, according to this is a whooping $79, and no according to an earlier tweet this is not in British Pounds, but could be Canadian or American dollars. If that’s not pricey enough for you the Legacy Edition will set you back $109, that’s a hefty price to pay, but anyone who sees how much Activision charges for DLC then you shouldn’t be surprised.
I’m sure people are rushing to defend Activision by saying “well you’re getting two games!” Yes you are, but one of those games is not new, it’s a remaster, plus a year after the PS4 and Xbox One launched we got a remastered Boarderlands 2 and Borderlands The Presequel for the price of one game, plus all of the DLC from the two previous games.
Granted I’d be willing to pay a little extra for the Legacy Edition, but almost twice as much as just one game is a bit much.
