Why No Obi Wan Spin-Off?

With the young Han Solo movie entering pre-production and word that the cancel Josh Trank Star Wars film was going to be a Boba Fett movie many fans are wondering “where is my Obi Wan film?”  And I’m one of them.

Well it turns out that the reasoning for no Obi Wan Kenobi movie is because they’re going to be using him in Episode VIII and IX as a Force Ghost obviously.  This doesn’t make much sense to me only because him playing a Force Ghost doesn’t stop him from being in Kenobi films.  So there is probably more to it than that. My thinking is that Disney is a little worried about Rogue One.  This being the first non-Skywalker Star Wars movie (if you don’t count the Ewok movies and I don’t) so they probably want to see how it performs before they commit to more spin-off films after the Han Solo movie.

So what do you think about this possible delay in an Obi Wan film so that Ewan McGregor can film the Saga Films?  Let us know in the comments below.
