We Say Goodbye to Carrie Fisher 1956-2016

I’m not going to dwell on this too long nor am I going to blame a arbitrary year for this, but I will say that here at the Clash we are deeply sadden to hear the news of Carrie Fisher’s death as a result of the heart attack she had on Friday.

For many of us she will always be Princess Leia (and rightfully so), much like Max Von Syndow’s line in the Force Awakens “Oh, the General? To me, she is royalty.” And that she was to many of us.  Carrie Fisher was also a comedic actress with roles in The Blues Brothers where she candedly talked about all the drugs she did with John Belushi and how his death got her on the path to recovery, as well as The Burbs playing Tom Hank’s wife.

No matter what you remember Carrie Fisher for like Lor San Tekka said in Episode 7 “.. she is royalty.”

We will miss you Princess.
