This week marks the Labyrinth 30th Anniversary when the David Bowie helmed, Jim Henson created movie debuted in theaters. The movie has withstood the test of time and continues to find new audiences and held in the hearts of many who originally saw it in theaters or saw it on VHS.

The wonderful creatures created by Jim Henson’s creature shop and the performance of a young and up and coming Jennifer Connelly have both made this movie well done, but it’s David Bowie’s performance along with his music that truly made this movie special.
His Goblin King Jareth truly steals the show and introduces David Bowie’s music to a new generation and revitalized the singers career and let the world know that Ziggy Stardust just wasn’t a phenomenal singer/song writer but an actor as well.
It’s sad that neither Bowie nor Henson are here to see the 30th Anniversary of this groundbreaking film, but let’s hope they’re hard at work on a sequel up above.
