Since Spectre hit theaters this past summer it has been rumored that Daniel Craig wanted out as James Bond. Well that rumor has now picked up some steam with comments from Mark Strong regarding whether he’d like to play a Bond villain.
“Do you know what, I’d have loved to have played the villain in a Bond movie while Daniel was doing it because he’s a pal and that would have been great. But I think he’s come to the end of his Bond time and so it’s probably never going to happen, but that would have always been great. He has been [wonderful] and he’s loved it. But I think he feels like he’s mined it. He’s done what he wants with it. That point has come.”
What makes this comment interesting is that Strong and Craig a great friends, so much so that Craig is Strong’s son’s God Father. So this could be a slip of the tongue or Strong could have some insider knowledge.
We’ll know for sure in the coming weeks, but what do you think about Craig not reprising the role anymore? Who do you think should replace him? Let us know in the comments below.
