Street Fighter V to Punish Quitters

Legendary coach Vince Lombardi once said “Winners never quit and quitters never win,” which is something no one has ever told the majority of the Street Fighter community.

Rage quitting has been rampant since online play finally got up and working on the game and there has been no downside to it.  The quitter doesn’t get a loss, and the person who didn’t quit and would have won doesn’t get a win, which doesn’t make any damn sense.

Back in the early days of the Xbox 360 and PS3 people who quit out of games were usually punished in same way or another.  Either a loss or a loss of XP points, something to make the idea of quitting worse than losing.

Basically if you quit you were punished, not in Street Fighter V though.  If you have a 50 fight win streak and you quit right as you’re about to lose you still have a 50 fight win streak and your standing on the leader board is not affected.

The community’s pleas have finally been heard as Capcom is promising severe punishments for those who rage quit out of games.  What is that punishment you might ask?  Well they haven’t said yet, but I can’t wait to find out.
