On yesterday’s Nintendo Direct a big announcement with 3DS’s Virtual Console came, and that was that Nintendo is FINALLY bringing Super Nintendo games to the New 3DS via the Virtual Console and they’re coming out of the gates swinging.

Released yesterday was the original SNES launch titles Super Mario World, Pilot Wings, and F-Zero.

Releasing at the end of the month on March 24 is Super Mario Kart, Earthbound (YAY), and Donkey Kong Country.

Then on April 14 we get Donkey Kong Country 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (2x YAY), and Super Metroid.

Nintendo hasn’t said whether or not if you already own these games on your Wii U VC whether or not you’ll get to transfer these games for free or for a discounted rate, and since I own most of these games already I’d love to just be able to transfer them.

So what do you think about this dear reader, for me it gives me one more reason to play my New 3DS.
