Skyrim and Fallout 4 Mods Cancelled on PS4

This past week has not been in regards to Sony and the PlayStation 4.  On a blog post on the Bethesda website they announced that mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim have been suspended indefinitely.  Also Bethesda has not been shy in laying the blame on Sony.

Basically Sony is very protective over their platform and have been very restrictive over what they let on their systems.  Also there are limitations with the PS4, they only allow 900MB per mod as opposed to the Xbox which allows 2GB (that’s over twice the space) also since Sony uses a proprietary audio system in the PS4 which has caused difficulties with the mods’ sound quality.

All in all it doesn’t look like Bethesda mods are every coming to PS4, but it’s probably not a huge loss since 99% of people who play mods do it on PC anyways.

What do you think of this dear reader?   Does this affect which system you’ll purchase Skyrim on?  Let us know in the comments below.
