Updates Coming to Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go has taken the country by storm (as well as Australia and Japan, sorry Europe and Canada) and even though it launched with a pretty bare bones and server issues (not to mention not having all 151 original Pokemon) it’s what everyone seems to be playing, even for people who have never played a Pokemon game in their life.

A key feature from the original Pokemon games (as well as the card game) is trading which is currently absent from Pokemon Go.  However, the developers are promising trading is coming soon, which is good since it was featured in the trailers leading up to the release of the game.  I think all of us assumed that trading would be a launch feature, but in hindsight it’s probably a good thing since the game has had all kinds of server issues at launch (though they’re getting better, even though server crashes caused me to miss out on a Chamelon and Psyduck).

Also battling (not just at gyms) should becoming at some point as well (again another thing shown in the trailers).  One more featured that was promised by the developers were that more things were coming to Pokestops and Gyms.  What are those “new things”?  No fucking clue, but they’re new and if Barney Stinson has taught us anything, it’s that “New is always better”.
