Much like we did with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S we’re heading down that pricing rabbit hole as two separate sources have leaked prices for the new Nintendo Switch. First up was the Canadian Toys R Us web site had a listing of the Switch for $329 Canadian which is roughly $250 US and usually that’s where we’d say take this as a grain of salt because retailers will make online placeholders and sometimes they accidentally publish it instead of save it.
However, website Let’s Play Games heard from a source at UK Games in (well) the UK that they have two SKUs for the Nintendo Switch. The first being one for 199 British Pounds which converts to roughly $250 US, shocker I know, but wait there’s more! There is also a second SKU that comes with more memory and a game (like the Wii U did) for 250 British Pounds which is $311 US Dollars, but that’s a weird price point for a system so my guess is this SKU would be either $300 (more than likely) or $350.
One last rumor in here is that the Pro Controller we saw in the trailer looks to be sitting at a price point between $40 and 50 US.
So what do you think about this price point and what game do you think comes in the bundle? For me it’s a big win for all of us and keeps Nintendo competitive, and I think the game will either be Mario or Zelda. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
