Yesterday marked the 9 year anniversary for Half-Life 2 and with that some leaks for a Half-Life VR game have come up.
So what are they you say? Well Half-Life News Network went digging through the code of the Valves VR tech demo Destination and found the code HL-VR. In this app Valve uses a lot of their properties like Team Fortress and Portal so people seeing “HL” in the code got them really excited and the fact that they were just added to the app has a lot of people running around thinking that a new Half-Life could be on the way.
So what does all this mean? Well obviously Half-Life 3 confirmed! Cue the party air-horn!!! Actually no, it’s just code and HL can stand for anything really. Granted a Half-Life game for VR might push some units but is making another Half-Life game worth the time for Valve to make when they take in the money hand over fist with Steam? That’s the big question, personally I wouldn’t get my hopes up until Valve officially announces it, but yeah Half-Life 3 confirmed, get your preorders ready!
