Eurogamer is reporting that Gamecube games are going to be making an appearance on the Switch when it launches.  Currently three games that are reportedly up and ready for the Switch’s release which are Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi’s Mansion, and Super Smash Bros. Melee with Nintendo currently working on Animal Crossing.

However, there is some bad news also.  Apparently Nintendo will charge yet another upgrade fee to transfer your Virtual Console games over to the Switch.  This isn’t the first time Nintendo has done it, since they did it with the Wii to the Wii U, though you would think like Sony and Microsoft that they’d just give that to you.  I mean look at Apple as well, you buy a song on your iPhone you have access to that song on your Mac, you can download it to your iPod (if you’re old like me) and it will also be on you iPad and Apple TV.  No longer is cross-platform purchases an added bonus for consumers, but at this point we expect it.  After all what good is my Nintendo account if I have to Super Metroid for the third time on the VC?

Anyways, that’s what I think loyal reader, what about you?  Are you excited for Gamecube gaming coming to the Switch VC?  What about the rumor transfer fee for games you already own (bullshit)?  Let us know in the comments below.
