Do We Have A Price Point For the Nintendo NX?

British retailer Tesco briefly listed the NX (no image, sorry) on their website for sale titled “NX Wii U”.  The listing was for 350 British Pounds which is about $450 US (though in the Europe games are priced a bit higher).

So do we know the price of the NX? No, no we don’t.  Obviously this was an error by Tesco and more than likely what it was place holder or a test for when they do start taking preorders and the price was probably just one they threw in there since that’s roughly what a new system generally costs.  So all of this should be taken with a grain of salt because this happens all of the time when big releases of systems, movies, games, books, and many other things come to retail.  Running a website is tough, running a major retailer website is tougher and Tesco wants to be ready for when they are taking preorders for the NX and what probably happened (which happens here from time to time) someone hit “publish” instead of “save draft” and that’s why we got the now taken down listing.

As far as price I wouldn’t expect the NX to be more than $300 US because Nintendo isn’t one to charge too much for a sistem, $399 would probably be the max price but we’ll have to wait until it’s officially announced to know that.  Stay tuned because as soon as it’s announced we’ll cover it.
