UPDATE: (1:41 PM 10/15/15)  Nerdist.com is reporting that Fantastic Four is not back with Marvel.

Yesterday it was announced that Fox would be producing two live action X-Men television shows, now previously there had been hiccups that blocked Fox from doing that, namely, they had to have Marvel’s permission to do so, and well Marvel, not liking the fact that Fox still had the rights to two of their properties for the big screen Marvel was playing a bit of hardball.

Well now Fox is getting to make their shows, one on the Hellfire Club for sure, and there could be another one in the works.  The Hellfire Club, really?  Who in the hell wants to watch that show?  Well people watch Gotham so I guess there is an audience for shitty comic book shows.

Anyways, what did Marvel want in return?  Well according to Den of the Geek, Marvel wanted Fantastic Four back and they just might have it if Den of the Geek is right.  I want to stress that this is a rumor at this point and nothing has been announced.

Marvel does have a mystery 2020 movie that they haven’t announced and with rumors of the Inhumans movie cancelled, maybe Marvel is making room for the first family.  We’ll have to wait and see, but honestly it makes sense for Fox to make this deal.  All of their F4 movies have bombed, with the latest reboot being laughed out of theaters by audiences and its own cast.  While the X-Men have never been hotter for Fox, they probably would make more money with a television spin-off off of that franchise then trying again with F4.

So, like I said, this is just a rumor at this point but we’ll keep you up to date when we hear more.

So are you excited about this possibly happening?  If so what are you most excited about?  Me, I’m stoked that we might get to see Doctor Doom face off against the Avengers.  You think Loki is an awesome villain, wait until you see what Marvel will do with Doom.
