Man of Steel 2 Being Fast Tracked?

The Wrap is reporting that DC and Warner Bros. are trying to fast track a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel which doesn’t come much to a surprise to me since Man of Steel kicked off the DCEU and the last two DCEU movies have come up short.

Batman v Superman was supposed to be the be all end all in comic book movies but fell short of reaching a billion dollars world wide, which seems to be the new bench mark for summer tent-poles.  Then with Suicide Squad which did terrible with reviewer but did set an August opening record might not open up in China due to its dark content will probably fall well short of the $750 million it needs to make to break even.

Warner Bros. is looking for an answer here as their movies just keep getting worse and worse critically and many fans who were excited for a DCEU are now very cautious about it.

In 2014 DC and WB announced a list of films on the way including Justice League, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman but had two unannounced films for Oct. 5, 2018 and Nov. 1, 2019.  One will probably be a Ben Affleck directed Batman film and the other will probably be a Man of Steel sequel.

Now the question is what will the story be?  We already got an origin story, Doomsday, Vs Batman, and the Death of Superman, plus JL will have the rise of Superman so I’m not sure what story they will tell, my guess Braniac, hopefully no more Jessie Eisenberg Lex.

So what do you think dear reader?  What are your thoughts on a Man of Steel sequel?  Let us know in the comments below.
